By recycling the waste that would normally be discarded in landfills and creating sustainable textiles, we are reducing the amount of hazardous chemicals released into the environment (sulfur dioxide, nitrous oxides, and carbon dioxide) and as a repercussion entering our bodies through the air we breathe and the products we consume, creating a greater impact on the overall ecological and human well-being. In the words of John Sawhill, “A society is defined not only by what it creates, but by what it refuses to destroy.”
Devoted to the conservation of our planet and a cleaner environment for future generations, G&A Recycling was born. By collecting the cotton goods manufactures would normally dispose of in landfills, we collect the scraps and turn them into a sustainable textile ideal for apparel use. By synthesizing and applying strong ecological foundations with the growing demand of consumer awareness, we have achieved solid partnerships with companies in both Mexico and the U.S, where the conversion from scrap to textile is achieved.
We cater to our clients and make the process as easy and hassle-free as possible. We begin by sending our team to wherever your company is located. We load all the merchandise and leave without disturbing your employees or disrupting your regular schedule. Once the merchandise is loaded, we bring the shipments back to our headquarters, where we then dispatch it to our partners in Mexico, and United States. Upon arrival, the scraps are then sorted by hand depending on fiber content and color. After being sorted, the scraps are extricated, becoming pieces of broken yarn and then extricated again to their natural staple fiber form. Now that the cotton has returned to its natural form, it can be re-spun into yarn and rewoven into a high quality textile ideal for commercial apparel use.
